About Us

About Us

The Wade Funeral Home, a family owned and operated business, was established in 1992 when Mark Wade and his wife, Michele, took over the former Murphy Funeral Home, which served the Lower Bucks area since the early 1900s.

As a family owned and operated business, we are able to offer unparalleled compassion, personalized service, and attention to detail. The Wade Funeral Home is honored by the trust you place in us during your time of need. Mark, Michele, and their son, Luke, take pride in their dignified and respectful approach to funeral service and are always available to help.

OUR MISSION

A Commitment to You

We at the Wade Funeral Home are committed to helping every family we serve with compassion and understanding. We will strive to help our families personalize every detail of the funeral service so it will be a lasting remembrance to their loved one. Because of this commitment, we are available to our families 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to answer any questions or concerns.

THE WADE FUNERAL HOME STORY

Learn more about our history and dedication to the community.

THE EARLY YEARS

In 1992, Mark and Michele Wade purchased the former Murphy Funeral Home, which first opened in the late nineteenth century. With the help of their family and friends, they began a large-scale renovation to bring the funeral home to modern standards.

With patience, dedication, and a commitment to serving our community, we began to grow the funeral home into what it is today.

THE EXPANSION

In 1999, the construction of a larger viewing and visitation room -- complete with large windows, river views, and handicap accessibility -- was finished. This allowed us to better serve you and the community, including larger spaces for families, private sitting rooms, and bright, modern facilities.

A FAMILY AFFAIR

The Wade Funeral Home isn’t just a business to us -- it’s woven into our everyday lives. In January 2025, Luke joined Mark as a licensed funeral director, continuing our commitment to professionalism and care.

Michele and Andrew keep everything moving behind the scenes day in and day out, making sure that no detail is overlooked. Together, it’s a family effort rooted in service, compassion, and pride.

the future

As active members of the Lower Bucks County community, our minds are always looking for ways to better serve you. As one of the few funeral homes in the area with river views, we know how vital the Delaware River is to helping us create a peaceful atmosphere during services at our facility.

We're currently in the process of constructing a new seawall, but keep an eye out in the coming years for additional renovations -- including even more river views, technological conveniences, and a beverage and snack station.
