Shirley Ann Volponi passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 91 years old. Born in Bristol, daughter of the late Richard and Josephine (nee Moore) Tosti, she was a lifelong Bristol Borough resident. Mrs. Volponi was employed as a Medical Office Manager at Regional Hem Onc Asso in Langhorne, retiring after 20+ years of service. She was a proud member of the Bracken Drum and Bugle Corp, was an avid sports fan, especially of the Phillies, enjoyed playing bingo, attending her great-grandchildren's sporting events, and watching her brother sing Garyoke.
Wife of the late Joseph E. Volponi, she is survived by her children, Cheryl Downs and her husband, Michael, Jacqueline Tuccillo and her husband, Frank, Joann Bogarde and her husband, Robert, and Joseph Volponi and his wife, Gina. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, William, Jennifer (Josh), Frankie (Danielle), Angela (Eric), Bobby (Christine), Jill (Brandon), Taylor, and Joey, and her great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Francesca, Jayla, Eric Jr., Juliette, Jordan, Jackson, Grayson, Everett, and Miles. She is also survived by her siblings, Josephine Lalli, Robert Tosti (Elizabeth), William Tosti (Peggy), Andrea Harvie, Gary Tosti (Louise), and Edward Tosti, along with many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by one brother, Richard Tosti, and two sisters, Patricia Holden and Pauline Michalski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, July 31, 2026, 11am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9-10:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
