Sharon Kay Easterling, age 72, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Gary, Indiana, on September 21, 1952, she moved to Fairless Hills as a young child and spent most of her life in the community she loved. In 2009, she relocated to Clayton, North Carolina, where she built a warm and welcoming home, before returning to Fairless Hills in 2023.
A devoted stay-at-home mother for many years, Sharon poured her heart into raising her two children, Renae and Eric. Once they were older, she boldly pursued a new calling and began her nursing career at the age of 40—a role she cherished deeply. She spent 15 years as a dedicated nurse at Yardley Pediatrics, where she touched the lives of countless families with her kindness, compassion, and calm spirit.
She was an avid gardener, known for her simple but firm belief that flowers shouldn’t be planted until after Mother’s Day. That special day became a cherished family tradition, filled with visits to local nurseries, overflowing flower baskets, and time spent with her hands in the dirt—her happy place.
She found immense joy in being a grandmother and treasured her grandchildren’s summer visits to North Carolina. These visits brought laughter, love, and lasting memories, often shared with her beloved husband, Skip, whom she married in December 2004.
Skip brought new adventures into her life and a shared love of travel. Together, they explored many beautiful places, with Hawaii holding a special place in her heart. Their blended family included Skip’s children, Guy and Wendy. Their marriage was a beautiful love story—one that stood strong through life’s joys and trials, including the cruel journey of dementia that ultimately took her too soon.
Sharon had a deep love for Jesus and lived her life guided by her faith. Her gentle strength, selflessness, and grace were a reflection of the love she found in Him. Her faith gave her peace and purpose.
She will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, nurturing heart, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her love lives on in every flower planted, every memory shared, and every life she touched.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gaines “Skip” Easterling; her daughter, Renae Kulak (Rob Lombardo); her son, Eric Gilmore (Rachael); her stepdaughter, Wendy Threlkeld (Jerry); and her stepson, Gaines “Guy” Easterling. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson: Emilia, Carter, Joseph, James, Kyle, Justin, Jeremy, Benjamin, Isaac, Hannah, Asher, and Ezra.
She is further survived by her three loving brothers—Dan, Bruce, and Keith—who always kept a watchful eye on her.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM. We will gather for lunch and share memories of Sharon at:
