Roseanne Best, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, just shy of her 74th birthday, surrounded by her family. Born on July 21, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Roseanne was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Ellen Best. Her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering love.
In 1958, Roseanne moved to Levittown where she resided until her passing. She graduated from Bishop Conwell High School in 1970. Shortly after her graduation she began working at the Daily Racing Form in Hamilton, NJ. Her career path took a transformative turn when, as a single parent of two young children, she decided to pursue nursing. Roseanne graduated from St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in 1991 and went on to work at St. Francis Medical Center for 25 years. As a registered nurse, Roseanne exemplified compassion and dedication, touching the lives of countless patients and their families with her gentle and empathetic spirit.
Beyond her professional achievements, Roseanne was a woman of many passions. She found joy in singing and had a particular love for musicals, which she shared with her children. Her creativity shone brightly through her love of crafts, where she expressed her artistic side and shared her creations with those she loved.
Family was the foundation of Roseanne's life. She is survived by her loving children, Daniel Deisroth, Colleen Hicks (née Deisroth) and her husband Randy, and Kerry Dougherty, who she loved unconditionally. Her granddaughter, Macy Hicks, brought immense happiness to her later years, and Roseanne cherished every moment spent with her. She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Maureen Walker (Tom) and Ruth Peluso (Dave), her brothers, Robert Best and Jim Best (Judy), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold her memory dear.
Roseanne's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, selflessness, and love. She was known for her unwavering support and advocacy for her children, always standing by their side with encouragement and love. Her generous spirit touched not only her family but everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Roseanne's determination and warm heart left an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.
In memory of Roseanne and in honor of her giving nature, donations can be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, an organization that reflects her commitment to helping others.
Roseanne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we celebrate a life well-lived. Her Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of the Universe Church in Levittown, PA at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026. Visitation is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA.
Roseanne’s spirit will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
