Ronald Smith Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, surrounded by the love and presence of his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was the time he spent with those he loved most.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Ronald was the beloved son of the late John W. Sr. and Helen Smith. He remained a lifelong resident of Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he built deep roots, lasting friendships, and a legacy centered on family and dedication. Ronald graduated from Delhaas High School and went on to establish a strong work ethic that defined much of his life. For more than 30 years, he worked at Reedman Auto Mall, where he was known for his reliability, commitment, and the relationships he formed with coworkers and customers alike.
Outside of work, Ronald was best known for his deep love of sports and his unwavering loyalty — especially when it came to his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. A natural athlete, Ronald played football, basketball, and baseball throughout his younger years and continued competing even into mid-adulthood. Whether on the field or the court, he brought a strong competitive mentality that energized and motivated those around him, often inspiring his teammates through both his determination and leadership. Win or lose, he remained a proud and passionate fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer on his team and share that enthusiasm with family and friends.
Ronald was predeceased by his former wife, Claire, and his lifelong partner, Denise; his parents; his sisters, Yvette and Yolanda; two nieces; and nephew. He carried himself with strength, humor, and love, always remaining a steady and supportive presence for those around him.
He is survived by his loving children, Ronald Smith Jr. (Jaritza) and Marcus Smith (Nicole), who were the pride of his life. Ronald’s greatest role was being a father and grandfather, and he devoted himself fully to his family. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren — Nina, Gabriel, Ronald III, Mia, Asher, Sofia, and Camila — each of whom brought him immense happiness and purpose.
He is also survived by his siblings: Yvonne (Ethan), Elaine (Wayne), John Jr. (Joan), Sharon (Robert), Kathy-Ann (David), Renee (Randy), and Lamara, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember his presence, guidance, and enduring love.
Above all else, Ronald took pride in being a family man. He poured his time, energy, and heart into those around him, always encouraging his children and grandchildren to become the best versions of themselves. He was someone who showed up — for celebrations, for challenges, and for everyday moments that mattered most. His generosity, humor, and steady support created memories that will live on through the many lives he touched.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Ronald’s life at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 26, 2026. A public viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service and burial. A private luncheon will be held with family afterward.
Ronald will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his devotion, his strength, and the love he gave so freely to his family.
