Obituary

Robert W. Sobusiak passed away peacefully at home, after a brief illness, on Monday, May 18, 2026. He was 79 years old. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Walter and Alice (nee Wasielewski) Sobusiak, he was a Bristol resident for the past 42 years. Mr. Sobusiak was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School, Class of 1964, and was United States Marine Corps Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He retired as a Union Carpenter for Local 1462 after 35 years of service. While a carpenter, he volunteered with his Union on several projects in the Bristol area. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a longtime member of the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club.

Predeceased by his son, Michael Sobusiak, he is survived by his beloved wife, Regina (nee McGinley) Sobusiak, and will be sadly missed by his son, Thomas Sobusiak and his wife, Nadine; his adoring grandchildren, Vivian and William; his daughter-in-law, Maura Sobusiak; and his sister-in-law, Mary Jo McGinley, RSM. He was also predeceased by his sister, Adele Sobusiak.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, 11am at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem. Interment will follow at 1pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. Friends may call from 10-11am at St. Ephrem Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Global Health Ministry at globalhealthvolunteers.net.
