Bob passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was 87 years old. Born in Wyano, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John and Meri (nee Hemenez) Kabaci. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Nancy (nee Antonelli) Kabaci, his children Robert L. Kabaci Jr, Peter John Kabaci with his wife Carmel, and his daughter Denise Bateson with her husband John along with his grandchildren Brittany, Peter (Junior), Emily, and Alison. He is also survived by his brother John Kabaci (the late Loretta), his sister Nancy Sidney and her husband Ed. Along with many nephews and nieces that checked in on him regularly and made sure him and his wife always had what they needed and enjoyed. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his Sisters Mary Mitzel, Annie Dittman, Margaret Wilkinson, Betty Kabaci and his brothers Mike Kabaci and Steve Kabaci.

Bob was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1962 to 1964 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was proud of his home in Edgely that he lived in for 62 years. Him and his wife made many renovations to the house, and the doors were always open without even a knock to friends, family and neighbors who became family. He spent many years not only raising his children but on the baseball field coaching many of the neighborhood kids who still remember those times with him. Bob started working at United States Steel - Fairless Works at 19 and after working hard for 33 years there he retired at the young age of 52 in 1991. During that time, he was also doing construction and driving whatever truck or heavy equipment he could get in. After "retirement" you could then find him driving around in Amici's green delivery Jeep around Bristol for his son Pete. He loved meeting and talking to all the customers. He always needed some spending money in his pocket to keep the fridge stocked with cold beer and drinks for poker night, NASCAR or when the Steelers were on. If he was not watching one of them, he was on the porch with neighbors catching up or just keeping an eye on things. He enjoyed listening to the Saturday morning polkas with his buddy Hank by his side and really enjoyed going to the Falls Park with his brother John for the Polka Party. He will be missed by his longtime companion, Hank and reunited with many faithful animals as he never wanted a dog but could not live without one by his side as he was an animal lover.

Relatives and friends may visit on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol. Interment will be held at St. Mark Cemetery after services. Flowers are welcome or donations to your local animal shelter would be appreciated
