Oscar Villanueva passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was 75 years old. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, son of the late Joaquin Villanueva and Virginia Andujar, he was a Bristol resident for most of his life. He was employed for many years at Columbia Lighting in Bristol. He was a very spiritual and religious man and was an active member of the First Spanish Assembly of God Church. Mr. Villanueva was also a Chaplain at Lower Bucks Hospital, where he prayed for the sick. He loved spending time with his grandsons, Brian and Luke, riding his bike around town visiting family and friends, and also enjoyed visiting his family in Puerto Rico. He was a passionate Philly sports fan, who watched every game. Rice, beans, and chicken were always a must.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Brian Villanueva (Theresa); his stepson, Ronald Plante (Sarah); his grandchildren, Brian and Luke Villanueva; and his siblings, Joaquin Villanueva (Dora), Miguel Villanueva, Marcelino Villanueva, Elisanto Serrano (Joanne), Javier Serrano (Donna), Edwin Serrano, and Carmen Villanueva; along with many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Victor Villanueva, Francisco Villanueva, and Luis Villanueva.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Thursday, February 20, 2025, 11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Friends may pay respects from 9:30am-11:00am at the funeral home.
