Norma Ann Doris ( nee Keyser) 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Norman and Annabelle Keyser (nee James) she moved to Fairless at age 13 and was a graduate of Pennsbury High School class of 1957. She met her future husband, Joe Doris, shortly after moving to Fairless Hills at a teen dance which was held at Fairless View School. It was an instant attraction and they were married after graduation in the fall of 1957. After renting a short time in Bristol Boro, they bought a house in Levittown and became a 65 year resident in Willowood where Norma raised a family. After retiring she achieved her life long dream of buying a home along the Delaware River in Bristol Boro, PA. Norma was the beloved wife of Joseph for 68 years. She was a devoted mother to Lisa DiMeo (Sean), Joseph N. Doris (Theresa). She was the proud and loving grandmother to Jocelyn Steinert (Dave), Victoria Gramlich, Joseph W.Doris, Ethan Gramlich (Ashley), Elisabeth Gramlich. She is predeceased by her son Robert J. Doris, Grandson Tommy Gramlich, and her brother Thomas Keyser. She is survived by many family and friends in Ohio and New Jersey. Her family was the center of her world and she treasured every moment together.
Norma, along with her husband, were the proprietors of Happenings Curiosity Shop in N.Wildwood, NJ. where her outgoing personality and warm spirit made lasting friendships. In earlier years Norma worked many jobs including an exercise instructor at Elaine Powers figure salon and as a sales associate at Ports of the World (Boscovs) in the former Levittown Shopping Center.
Norma had a passion for antiques, anything Irish, and dancing. She and her husband could really "cut a rug". She loved curling up with a good book, and found joy in crocheting. She was a proud fan of Philadelphia sport teams and the Philadelphia Mummers traditions. She enjoyed the music, costumes, dancing, laughter, and sense of community they brought.
Known for her friendly and social nature, any stranger could become a friend. Her faith guided her life, and her kindness and generosity touched countless people over the years. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories including N.Wildwood summer vacations, and special Christmas Eve family gatherings at her home that became yearly traditions.
Norma will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of family and friends she adored, through the memories she created.
