Nancy Hammar passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 28, 2025 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 87 years old. Born and raised in Clairton, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Stim) Hammar, she was a Levittown resident for the past 56 years. Nancy was a proud employee at The Law School Admission Council in Newtown for 48 years. She was a longtime, active, and very charitable member of Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, where she was a member of the Lady's Altar Society and volunteered for many Church functions. Nancy was very patriotic, and loved everything red, white, and blue. She was an avid Phillies and Steelers fan, and enjoyed collecting St. Nicholas dolls and figurines. She will be remembered as a happy person who loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by one sister, Marjorie Mozes and her husband, The Very Reverend Protopresbyter Theodore Mozes; one brother, Andy Hammar; along with her nieces and nephews, Sarah Kravcak, Jeremy Kravcak, John Mozes, Riley Mozes, JT Mozes, Emily Paolini (Anthony), Alexander Paolini, Julianna Paolini, Abigail Paolini, Alexandria Paolini, and Anthony Paolini III. She was also predeceased by her sister, Donna Jones.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Liturgy on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 10am at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 1314 Randall Avenue, Levittown. Interment, Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Friends may call from 9-10am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church at the above address.
