Mary Anne Roche (née Conry) departed this world on February 26, 2026, to join her sister Peggy Conry and her mother and father, Bridget (née Walsh) and Thomas Conry, in the eternal afterlife. She is survived by her older brother Thomas Conry and his wife Sharon, and her younger brother Harry Conry and his wife Eileen.
She is also survived by her loving husband and partner of 58 years, John, and their five sons and their partners Christopher and Michael; Michael and Barby; Kevin and Lisa; Terrence and Brittany; and Timothy and Kimberly. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Hannah, Taite, Dylan, Shane, Samantha, Violet, Sierra, and Lachlan, as well as by her numerous nieces and nephews, Sean, Robert, Melissa, Richard, Christine, Carolyn, Anne, Thomas, William, and Michael.
Born to Irish immigrants on Long Island, NY, in 1945, Mary Anne moved with her family to Levittown, PA, as a child and later to Bristol Borough, where she resided for the past 40 years. She graduated in the class of 1962 from Bishop Egan HS and got her degree in Education from Gwynedd Mercy College. Among other things, Mary Anne was a teacher, daycamp director, and real estate agent and continued to teach until attaining her real estate broker’s license. Never one to let the patriarchy or the word “no” stand in her way, Mary Anne was one of the first to open an independently woman-owned real estate agency in Bucks County, and was widely regarded for her honesty, intelligence, shrewdness, and forthrightness.
Mary Anne loved to sing and to dance, especially to a good Irish ballad and live Irish music. She left an indelible mark on the hearts and lives of everyone she met, and her legacy will carry on and be remembered by her family, former students, and hundreds of friends. All who knew her are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. and visit with her from 9-10:45 a.m. at Wade Funeral Home across from the church rectory. Interment will follow the Funeral Mass at the St. Mark Columbarium on church grounds.
