Marvin James Bixler, Jr. "Jay"

Marvin James Bixler, Jr "Jay", passed away suddenly on Thursday August 5, 2021 at the age of 68.

Born in Pottsville, Pa, son of the late Shirley and Marvin Bixler, Sr., Jay was a lifelong resident of Bristol, Pa. Jay was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran, serving in Vietnam and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He enjoyed fishing, darts, and cheering on his Philadelphia Sports teams. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his two girls and fur baby, Blake.

He is finally reunited with the love of his life, the late Judith Ann Bixler. Jay is survived by his loving daughters, Bonnie Nethery (Byron), and Dana Bixler. Granddaughter, Shauna Nethery, sister, KayAnn Trammel, brother, Kenneth Bixler (Cindy) and sister-in -law, Debra Bixler. Jay will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Carol Ann Bixler, brother, Robert Bixler Sr. and grandson, Byron Nethery, Jr.

Semper Fi forever

Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, 11:30-1:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association at action.lung.org
