November 4, 1946 - April 8, 2024

Marlene Poland passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 8, 2024.  At 77, she succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease after a long and courageous battle. Born in Shamokin, PA, daughter of the late Gilbert and Peggy Skoskie, she was a longtime resident of Morrisville, PA and was a Fairless Hills resident for the past 4 years.  Marlene was employed as a Bookkeeper for Mawson & Mawson for 30 years.  She loved snowbirding, enjoying her winters at the country club in Florida.  She was an avid reader, loved the beach, playing bocce ball, and going on long walks with her husband and beloved dog, Beans.

She is survived by her loving husband, George Poland, her children, Jay Richardson (Jade), Brad Richardson, Richard Poland (Hillerie), Jessica Richter (Mark), and Rebecca Poland. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to her 6 grandchildren, Olive, Dakota, Vanessa, Mia, Violet, and Hunter.  She is also survived by one sister, Diana Jashinski (Stan), along with several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Gilbert.

A gift from God has been returned back to God. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 15, 2024, 11am at Holy Trinity Church, 201 N Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
