Katherine "Kitty" Shellenberger

Katherine "Kitty" Shellenberger passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was 91 years old. Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, she was a Levittown resident for the past 47 years. Kitty was employed as a Secretary for the Railroad in Connecticut. She was a dedicated and active member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, where she volunteered for many church activities. Kitty also volunteered at Lower Bucks Hospital and the Tullytown Parks and Recreation Board. She will be remembered as a generous and caring person.

Kitty married her husband, Robert Shellenberger, and joined his family of 10 children, where she will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and good friend. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as "Grandma Kitty".

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years, Robert H. "Bob" Shellenberger, Sr.; her son, Thomas; her mother and father, Edward and Anna Casey, and her stepfather, Richard Dickinson. Kitty is survived by nine children, Theresa Saxton (Thomas), Denise Caputo (Michael), James, Joseph (Christine), Robert, Jr. (Eileen), Carol Sedgwick (William), Ann Fusaro (Joseph), Charles (Tara), and Mary Bevan (Richard). She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sylvia; thirty-one grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one sister, Nora McNulty (the late Timothy); along with many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday, August 18, 2025, 10:30am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Levittown. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9-10:15am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bucks County SPCA.
