It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Judith Higgins, who left this world peacefully on June 15, 2026 at the age of 78.
Judy was born in South Philadelphia in 1948. She grew up in Croydon, PA, along with her sister and two brothers. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School, and went on to graduate from Bishop Conwell High School, Class of 1966. At the age of 18, she married Eddie Higgins and moved to Bristol Borough, where she raised her two children.
Judy retired from General Motors in 2014, after 36 years of service. She took great pride in her career and was known for her dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. Above all else, she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Joseph E. and Anne M. Bongard, and her former husband, Eddie Higgins. She is survived by her loving children, Eddie Higgins and Dawn Higgins, and will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Ariana, Alaina, Alexa (Alex), Dempsey, Declan, and Steven, and her great-grandchildren, Mabel and August. She is also survived by her siblings, Peggy, Joey, and Jerry; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Higgins, along with many nieces and nephews.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Legacy Gardens for the care they provided Judy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, June 19, 2026, 11am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. Friends may call from 9-10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
