Joseph D. Tomlinson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. He was 76 years old. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph G. Tomlinson and Margaret Tomlinson-Kedding. Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army. In his free time, Joseph enjoyed watching television, especially classic concert performances, and listening to his favorite music on his old-fashioned stereo. A devoted dog lover, he also cherished spending time with his friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan Tomlinson, and his son, Joseph Tomlinson.

He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Bell (Sally), Patricia Chewning (the late Sidney), and Sandra Paleafico (Jeffrey); and his brother, Michael Tomlinson and his wife, Florence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, especially his niece, Jessica Chewning, with whom he shared a special bond. They enjoyed many conversations together, as well as spending time with Jessica and her sons, Maverick and Jackson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joseph's Graveside Service with Military Honors on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, 11:30am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown. Please arrive by 11:15am in accordance with cemetery scheduling regulations.
