Joseph Bongard passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Jefferson Bucks Hospital, Langhorne. He was 76 years old. Born in Croydon, son of the late Joseph E. and Anne M. (nee Karstein) Bongard, he was a lifelong Croydon resident. Joseph began his career as a welder for the Budd Co. and later retired from Liberty Coating. He loved riding his Harley, was an avid Phillies and Steelers fan, took great pride in his home and gardens, and enjoyed boating and spending time on the lake. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially during their vacations at the beach.

He is survived by his children, Amy Bongard-Perry (Bill) and Shawn Joseph Bongard (Jada), and will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jillian Perry (Mark), Darion Perry (Dan), Kaylynn Perry, and Billy Perry; and his great-grandchildren, Mia, Nathan, Colsen, and Isla. He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Mobila, his brother Jerry Bongard, and his faithful dog, Maddie. He was also predeceased by his sister, Judith Higgins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday, July 20, 2026, 11am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Croydon. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9-10:15am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
