Jose Serrano Gonzalez, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was 80 years old. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, son of the late Juan B. Gonzalez and Wencesla Serrano, he was a Bristol Borough resident for the past 33 years. Mr. Gonzalez was employed in the Welding, Grinding, and Powder Coating division at Daniel C. Tanney, Inc. for many years. He was an active member of St. Mark Church, and was involved in the former St. Mark Holy Name Society. He loved walking around Bristol, and cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nelly Gonzalez; his son, Jose Gonzalez, Jr. and his wife, Amanda; and his grandchildren, Fig Gonzalez, Joshua Gonzalez, and David Gonzalez. He is also survived by his nephews, Lou Velez (Connie) and Raymond Velez (Evelyn); his nieces, Elba "Lily" Torres and Carmen Vega; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, 11am at St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. His viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9-10:45am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007.
