Guillermina "Willie/Guilla" Berrocal

July 12, 1945 — September 25, 2025

Bristol

It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved mother and rock of our family, Guillermina Berrocal, on September 25, 2025, at home in Bristol, PA, at the age of 80. Born in Utuado, PR, to Luis M. Torres and Virginia Hernandez, she moved to Bristol, PA, at the age of 7. The eldest of six children, she always helped take care of her siblings. She attended St. Ann School, Bristol High, and graduated from Delhaas Night School.

She met the love of her life, Felix, in the 1960s. They married and had five children. They moved to Lares, Puerto Rico, but returned to Bristol to raise their children and be close to family and friends. Together, they worked hard and purchased their first home in Langhorne, PA, where they resided for 17 years. As the children moved on, they downsized and moved back to Bristol, where they lived the rest of their days.

Willie was very involved in the Warren Snyder PTA, JAWS, and many school activities, where she made many life-long friends. She served on the board of the LLABC and always found ways to help the community and anyone in need. She worked at Delaware Valley Hospital, Baxter Pharmaseal, Keystone Lighting, and Lower Bucks Hospital while also running multiple home-based businesses.

As a proud Crusillista, her faith was the center of her life. Willie was a devout member of Saint Mark Parish for over 60 years. She was a lector, an integral part of the CCD program, a member of the Legion of Mary, the Parochial Committee, the Hospitality Sunday Crew, and was usually in the kitchen at many special events and dinners. After her husband's passing, she focused on caring for and cooking for the priests and seminarians who resided there.

Willie loved to spend the winter in Puerto Rico with her husband and travel around the island. She enjoyed cuddling up with a good book, writing in her journal, and making photo collages of the children so she could capture special moments, because she always wanted to have them near. She also enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips to the casino with her sisters-in-law, and tending to her garden. She took pride in her sewing and in crocheting beautiful baby sweaters, booties, hats, and blankets for those she loved. She wanted to make sure everyone was warm and cozy, since she was always cold. But most of all, she enjoyed reaching out to, cooking for, and spending time with her family and friends.

Willie will be remembered as a pillar of our community who was fun, selfless, caring, strong, and extremely loving. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and niece, a friend with a heart of gold, with amazing cooking, crocheting, and sewing skills. To know her was to love her. She had a great sense of humor and a unique way of showing you that you were #1. She cared for everyone as if they were her own, always making you feel super special!

Predeceased by her husband Felix Berrocal, her parents, sister Isabel Torres, brother Luis Torres, and sister-in-law Patrice Torres. She will be forever missed by her sisters Carmen Ayala and Alminda Montero, loving children Felipe (Maria), Josefina Irizarry (Raul), Juanita Diamond (Tom), Virginia Huffnagle (Tom), and Aida Rivera (Roscheim). Daughter-in-law Mary. Grandchildren Felipe Jr., Raul Jr. (Laura), Alexcia (Kyle), Nikolas, Gabriella (Andrew), Victoria, Jayden, and Felix. Great-grandchildren Caius, Raul III, and Luciana, many nieces and nephews, In-laws, cousins, and many special friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 2, 2025, 12:00 pm at St. Mark Church in Bristol Borough, and Interment at St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the church.
