Obituary

Frank D. Jakes passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at his home in Morrisville, PA. He was 72 years old. Born in Brooklyn, New York. He was a Morrisville resident for the past 23 years.

Frank was employed as IT Network Management for Dean Witter-Morgan Stanley, retiring after many years of service. He was a passionate comic book collector, enjoyed reading, loved music, playing chess and was an avid fan of the New York Knicks, Giants, and Yankees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William B. Jakes and Effie Jakes; his grandmother, Lula Mae Hicks; and his mother-in-law, Marie Gales.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl (Gales) Jakes, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage; his sister, Gwen Curtis and her husband, Floyd; his father-in-law, Will Gales; his sister-in-law, Debbie Cortez and her husband, John; his nephews, Steven Curtis and his wife, Ann; Jason Curtis and his wife, Schemika; and Tashiem Curtis; and his nieces, Selena Curtis; Nicole Cortez; and Rachel Cortez, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is also survived by Christopher Craig and his wife, Wendy, and Christian Craig.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, March 4, 2026 at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough from 9:00 am to 10:45 am. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery.
