Frank C. Carey passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 5, 2025 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 81 years old. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Francis and Marie (nee DeCurnou) Carey, he was a Philadelphia resident for most of his life and has resided in Bristol Borough since 2008. Frank began his career at the Philadelphia Navy Yard prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force in October of 1966, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant and was Honorably Discharged in August of 1970. After his military service, Frank became a Firefighter with the Philadelphia Fire Department. He was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Michael Dougherty Division 1, Bristol. Frank enjoyed road trips, going on bus trips with his senior groups, and spending time at the Jersey Shore, especially in Ocean City, Strathmere, and Sea Isle City. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.
Predeceased by his first wife, Mary (nee Gallagher) Carey; he is survived by his wife, Darlene (nee DeFrank) Carey; his children, Lisa Carey (Chuck Lindsay) and Matthew Carey (Angela); and his grandchildren, Shane, Ryan, Dominic, Anthony, and Grace. He is also survived by one brother, Jack Carey, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 25, 2025, 11am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Friends may call from 9-10:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
