Edward F. Carson, Jr.

November 3, 1955 — August 26, 2025

Myrtle Beach

Edward F. Carson, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was 69 years old. Ed was born and raised in Philadelphia, just around the corner from his lifelong partner, Patricia. They fell in love at the young age of 15 years old. Ed and Pat got married in 1975 and spent the next five decades together. During that time, they cherished each other’s love, compassion, and kindness. In his younger years, Ed enjoyed skiing with his family, often taking trips to Vermont or Canada. Ed was a family man. One of Ed’s greatest joys in life was spending time with his wife and two sons, taking them on exciting vacations and experiencing new, unique things together. In Ed’s later years, he took pride in taking not only vacations with his wife and sons, but also their families, creating magnificent multi-generational memories. Ed and Pat recently took a European vacation to celebrate their fifty years of love and devotion.

Ed was employed as a Welder for PECO / Exelon for almost 40 years. After retirement, Ed and Pat moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to enjoy their time by the beach. Once in Myrtle Beach, Ed chose to occupy some of his time on the golf course, frequently playing with friends and his two sons. Ed truly was an honorable man, and a friend to all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia (nee Craig) Carson, his two sons, Edward Carson (Jackie) and Ryan Carson (Ashley), and his grandchildren, Hunter, Cameron, and Teddy. He is also survived by one sister, June Carson, one brother, Steve Carson (Kathy), along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Patricia (nee Lynch) Carson, his daughter-in-law, Kaitlyn Carson, and his in-laws, Anna and Leo Craig.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 9-11am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
