Obituary

Diana S. Thatcher passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. She was 93 years old.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Mae Diane (née O’Donnell) Swackhamer. Diana was a proud Levittown resident for almost 70 years, making a lifetime of memories in the community she called home. She was a graduate of George School in Newtown and was employed by Subaru of America for more than 30 years, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Diana had a life full of special memories, including serving as an assistant in her father's Milton the Magician show. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time at Long Beach Island, a place she visited every year with her beloved husband. Over the years, LBI remained a cherished tradition, shared at times with her son and his family, and later enjoyed day visits with her best friend.

Diana held a special place in her family as its keeper of memories. She never forgot a birthday, made sure cards were sent, and seemed to always remember the dates that mattered to everyone. In her own way, she helped keep family connections alive through these thoughtful gestures.

Diana was the beloved wife of the late Peter W. Thatcher and the mother of the late Stephen Thatcher and James Thatcher. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Clare Thatcher; her grandchildren, Stephen, James, Alexa, Cesar, and Rocco; four great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Thomas “Boop” Thatcher; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her best friend, Carole O’Neil; her longtime lunch companion and sister-in-law, Judi Sheridan; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Diane Farmer; and her nephew, John Sheridan.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home in Bristol Borough. Funeral services will be held privately.
