Daniel Francis Hastings

Daniel Francis Hastings, 51, of Wilkes Barre, PA passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Born September 4, 1973, Dan grew up in Levittown, PA as the youngest of five children to John and Kathryn Hastings (McHugh).

Dan was a graduate of Bishop Egan (now Conwell-Egan) High School in Fairless Hills, PA. He was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at a young age but never let it break his lively spirit. He grew up playing soccer and loved spending his summers in Long Beach Island, NJ.

Dan will be remembered for his love of sports and people. His outgoing personality was a perfect match for the hospitality industry, where he held a variety of roles. You'd never guess he was a Pennsylvania native from his sports affinity. His loyalty lived with the Florida Gators, Los Angeles Chargers, St. Louis Cardinals and University of North Carolina Tar Heels - and his passion for these teams was unmatched.

Dan had a huge heart, and his generosity will live on through his courageous gift as an organ donor.

Dan is survived by his children, Shelby and Jordan Hastings; his parents, John and Kathryn Hastings; his siblings, Marita (Martin) Spadaccino, John (Cathleen) Hastings Jr., Kevin (Donna) Hastings, Vincent (Jennifer) Hastings; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects on Friday, June 6, 2025, with a Viewing from 9:30-11:30am followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007. Interment will follow at St. Mark Cemetery, Route 13, Bristol.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dan's name to the Gift of Life Donor Program.
