Obituary

Charles Russell Getz, affectionately known as Chuck, passed away on July 2, 2026, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, at the age of 71. Born on October 29, 1954, in Mercer, New Jersey, Chuck lived a life full of laughter, love, and cherished memories.

Chuck began his career as a plumber working alongside his father. Over the years, he honed his craft and collaborated with several notable individuals and companies. He worked with Toll Brothers Construction alongside James Majewski and later joined Jeff Cameron’s plumbing company. In his final working years, he partnered with Paul Comstock, a very close friend who became like family to him. Through his dedication and hard work, Chuck left a lasting impression on those he worked with and served.

Chuck was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his brother John P. Getz and sister Anna M. Gauvreau; his daughter Jennifer Biddle-Frenier and son-in-law Paul Frenier; his granddaughter Alexis Frenier; grandson Blake Frenier; and great-granddaughter Lainey Rae Hughes. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold him in their hearts. Chuck shared a special bond with close friends Valerie Link, Paul Comstock, Michelle Welsford, and Tim Rawlings.

He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn Getz; parents John Paul Getz and Esther R. Landes Getz; siblings Joanne Getz, Stanley C. Getz, Bonnie Castor, Cherylann Getz, Frederick S. Getz, and Robert L. Getz.

Chuck’s life was filled with vibrant hobbies that brought joy to both himself and those around him. As a child, he was an avid sports enthusiast who participated in softball, basketball, shuffleboard, bowling leagues, and pool leagues. His talent in pool even earned him a trip to Las Vegas alongside his good friend Tim Rawlings—a memory he cherished deeply.

A lifelong member of the Windsor Inn (fondly known as Hurricane Jack's), Chuck found immense joy in singing karaoke and sharing laughs with friends old and new. He also had a passion for travel and loved going on cruises with friends—especially Valerie and Dave—creating countless unforgettable moments along the way.

To those who knew him best, Chuck was more than just a brother or friend; he was a source of light whose laughter could brighten even the darkest days. His sense of honor was infectious, his jokes brought endless smiles to those around him, and his warm hugs were unmatched in comfort. His mischievous twinkle in his eye reflected the joy he carried through life—a joy that will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

May the memory of Charles Russell "Chuck" Getz bring comfort to all who knew him as they celebrate the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind.
