Catherine E. Scherch passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at her home. She was 96 years old. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late George and Catherine (nee Brower) Quigley, she was a Bristol Township resident for the past 73 years. Mrs. Scherch was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Third District Fire Company, and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Newportville Fire Company. She was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and Bristol Township Senior Center. Above all, her family was her world, and she cherished time spent with them.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, William O. Scherch, and her sons, George Joseph Scherch and Joseph William Scherch, she is survived by her loving children, William D. Scherch (the late Janet) and Catherine Joy Rose (Manwellden Maloney), along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joy Rolinson (Rodger), her brother-in-law, Theodore Hunsicker, her son-in-law, John Rose Jr., her daughter-in-law, Patricia Scherch, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers, William Buler (the late Evelyn) and Edwin Quigley, and her sister, Rose Hunsicker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, August 21, 2026, 11am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. Friends may call from 9-10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
