Angela C. Zenzel

April 14, 1949 — July 1, 2025

Bristol

Angela C. Zenzel passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 76 years old. Born in Bristol, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (née Pavone) Cimino, she was a lifelong Bristol resident. Angela was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1967. She continued her education at Holy Family University where she followed her passion for language and studied Spanish and English Education. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in English from Trenton State College. She was a dedicated English teacher at Bristol High School for 27 years where she made a lasting impact on multiple generations. Students will always remember her love for Shakespeare, her extensive knowledge of all things Elizabethan and the witticisms of Mark Twain.

Her drive for learning sparked her interest in travel. While visiting Europe she saw King Lear performed in the Globe Theatre, explored the British Monarchy, crossed Abbey Road, and then experienced the treasured sites of Paris. She enjoyed taking road trips with her husband Steve. They frequented New England and took pleasure in what each season had to offer, especially a horse drawn sleigh ride in Vermont. She was the ultimate Passenger Princess!

In her retirement, Angela enjoyed baking, knitting, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She adored them all and established many traditions. She compiled recipe books of all her specialties, she made blankets, sweaters and hats in every color and size, each “Made with love by Grandmom”. She shared her affection for the arts and music. They will forever cherish the annual trip to The Nutcracker, and various concerts throughout the years. She had a unique way to make them each feel like her favorite.

She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen M. Zenzel, and her devoted children, Maribeth Ennis, Patrick Ennis and his wife, Christine, and Erin Renard and her husband, Jason. Angela will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Stephen Rodas and his fiancé, Kasandra Wilson, Nina Rodas, Megan Werner, Matthew Ennis, Ryan Ennis and Madelyn Renard. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Cimino and his wife, Rita, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday evening, July 9, 2025, 6:00-9:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 8:30pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough, PA.
