Marie Carmella Cavin

September 24, 1930 - March 24, 2024

Marie Carmella Cavin, 93, of Falls Township, PA, passed peacefully away on March 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was born on September 24, 1930 to Ferdinand and Anna Pone Tuccillo in Trenton, NJ.  She graduated in 1949 from Hamilton High school and met the love of her life, Buzz, at a YMCA dance that same year.  They married and Marie went on to be a mother of 3, grandmother to 7 and great-grandmother to 12.  Her family was her world and this is what brought her most joy in life.

Marie was a homemaker and mother first but did find a passion for selling Tupperware where she became a top selling sales person for the company.  Marie enjoyed countless vacations in the family camper to Myrtle Beach, Jersey Shore and the Chesapeake.  Baking was her specialty and she always made her famous chocolate cake for any special event.  She loved spending time with her sisters, enjoying her favorite dish of muscles marinara but she most relished in having big family dinners and holidays at her house.

She was predeceased by her parents Ferdinand and Anna Pone Tuccillo, her husband, Maurice Cavin, Jr., her son Maurice Cavin, III, her sisters Nancy Vetovick and Dolores Andrese, and her brother Gennaro Tuccillo. She is survived by her sister JoAnn Zagursky; her daughter Barbara Coulon and husband Gary; her daughter-in-law Anna Maria Cavin; son Frederick Cavin (Patricia); her grandchildren, Fred Cavin (Kelly), Jessika Hutchinson (Casey), Sean Cavin (Jennifer), Sarah Angel (Steven), Ali Helmuth (Cam), Marc Cavin and Jaina Marie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and great-grandchildren.

Her Viewing will be held at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 9-10:30am.  Her Funeral Mass will follow at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough at 11am.  Interment, Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.

Aunt Marie was the sweetest, most loving godmother and I will miss her dearly. I loved our crab cake lunches, and I will always remember the time we visited the puppies available for adoption and made Barbara think we were bringing one home! Aunt Marie got such a laugh out of it! I adored her and will miss her always.
All my love ,
Joanie Cavin-Sylvester

My Mommom would always open her arms as wide as she physically could before saying “I love you so much that I can’t even stretch my arms out far enough” …following with a giggle of shoulder pain. I would try to stop her from stretching her arms but she would do it anyway. She was the most selfless person I have ever met. I am so grateful for the 27 years with her. I love you forever.

I was so saddened to see Marie’s obituary on Facebook. She and my mom were the best of friends for many years. We spent many a good time with Buzz and Marie and the kids. I remember good times at the river with my parent’s boat and all the adults waterskiing while we kids played in the water and on the bank. There was always good food and lots of fun. Fond memories of special people who made our childhood so precious. My sympathies to Freddie and Barbara and their families. You were truly blessed with a fantastic mother.
