Richard David Hoff

Richard David Hoff, 76, of the Edgely section of Bristol Township, died on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at his home. Born June 22, 1934 in Trenton, New Jersey, he was raised there before moving to a farm near Gettysburg, Pa, later moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Richard joined the Navy in 1952, where he served honorably for 4 years and enjoyed the many Ports-Of-Call throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, while on the Battleship U.S.S. Newport News. Richard returned to the Trenton Area and later settled in Bristol Township, where he lived for over 40 years. He was employed for Reedman Motors in Langhorne, Pa for nearly 2 decades and also worked on the trains for the Ivyland-New Hope Line. Richard always had a passion for studying history, especially the Civil War and the World Wars. He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, supporting the Flyers, Phillies and Eagles.

Richard was predeceased by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Anna Rose (nee Ksyniak) Hoff, his parents; David and Thelma (nee Gibbs) Hoff and a special mother; Bertha Hoff. He is survived by his daughters; Karen Hoff Senior of Trenton, NJ, and Donna Rago and her husband, Tom of Lawrenceville, NJ, 2 grandsons, Richard and Jonathan Hoff, 2 brothers; David Hoff of Mt. Holly, NJ and Bobby Hoff of California.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, June 2, 2011,11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call 9:30 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of ones choice.
