Megan Appleton
Megan (nee Adams) Appleton, age 78, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 with her family and caregiver, Meredith, at her side. Born in Bristol, daughter of the late George and Florence (nee Flanagan) Adams, and raised in Bristol, she traveled the world for over 20 years before settling in Levittown. Mrs. Appleton was a graduate of West Chester University and began her career as a teacher. After raising her family she became a bookkeeper and Vice President at E&R Products. She was an avid bridge player and bowler and enjoyed gardening, especially growing vegetables.
She is survived by her husband, William Appleton, her children; Jeanne Sanders and her husband, Paul, of Indiana, Bill Appleton and his wife, Robin of Levittown and Tom Appleton and Jenny of Hatboro, 9 grandchildren; Jennifer Schaaf (Jack), Jessica Taylor (Brandon), Ben, Jon, Molly, Tom, Jr., and Luke Appleton, and Alyson and Patrick Doyle, 2 great-grandchildren; Landon and Rylyn along with 1 brother; George Adams, and her beloved dog, Spook.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday, May 2, 2011, 11:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Boro. Interment, private. Friends may call Monday morning 9-10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, Pa 19106.
