Mary A. McGrath

Mary A. McGrath, nee Gilligan, of Levittown passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011. Mary, a native of Collingswood, NJ, graduated from St. John’s and Camden Catholic High School. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish for more than 50 years. She was a long time member of Audubon, Smithsonian, National Geographic and Celtic Heritage Foundations.

Mary was the daughter of the late John and Marguerite Gilligan and sister of the late Jack Gilligan and Margaret Shuster of Collingswood, NJ, Betty Hallett of Camp Hill, PA, Clare Keenan of Springfield and William Gilligan of Lansdowne, PA. She was predeceased by her husband Charles J. McGrath, Jr., infant sons Paul and Stephen and grandson Liam Evans.

Mary is survived by her children: Mary Kate McGrath, Rosanne (Michael) Johnson, Charles J. McGrath III, Monica (Matthew) Corrigan, Thomas Liam (Susan)McGrath and Janine (Samuel) LaRosa. She was the loving Nana of Evan Johnson, SPC Thomas W. Evans (US Army), L.Cpl Sean C. Johnson (USMC), Caitlin Johnson, Sammy LaRosa, Liam McGrath, Molly Corrigan, Jack LaRosa, Conor McGrath, Lily Corrigan, Annie Corrigan, Nicholas LaRosa, Brett McGrath, Mary Lee LaRosa, Emma Clare McGrath and Todd McGrath. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and four godchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 7, 11:00 AM, at St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough, PA. Friends may call Monday evening 7-9:00pm and Tuesday morning 9:30 – 10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe St, Bristol Borough. Final right of committal will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
