Kathleen Shulik, a resident of Levittown, died at home on 7-31-12. She was born to Thomas and Helen Kelly on 10-13-34 in Hazleton, Pa.
In 1953, after graduation from St Anns High in Freeland, Pa she moved to Levittown with her parents, who were original Levittowners. Kathleen was employed at Delaware Valley Hospital for thirty years where she had the pleasure of many friends. No matter what difficulties she faced in life she found joy in every day. Anyone who had the pleasure of attending her, and her huband Ed’s many dinner parties has memories of great times, great food and great conversation. Even in high school she planned social events and every week collected money from classmates to go to a resort on graduation week.
Mother of the late Andrew Anderson, Kathleen is survived by her great love and closest companion Edward Shulik, her daughter Amy Orff (Terry) and her son, Thomas Anderson. She was the loving grandmother of Brooke Anderson (Mark), Ashley Anderson, Katie and Emily Orff and great grandmother of Kieren, Peyton and Phoenix and the much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews who were with her often. She was a friend of many loving cousins. Kathleen’s three siblings Marie Coll (Bill), Eleanor Guerriero (Dan), and Thomas Kelly shared in her last days as they shared together all through life.
A remembrance of Kathleen’s life will be held at Wade Funeral Home on Saturday August 4th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. A burial will be held at St. Anns, Freeland at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to The American Cancer Society.
