Joan (Winchester) Caleb Joan Caleb, age 77, of Bristol, Pa., formally of Delaware City, DE went to her enternal home on Saturday, May 28, 2011 with her family beside her. Joan was born in December 22, 1933 in Chester, Pa, daughter of the late Elwood and Sara Winchester. She enjoyed being with the friends she made at LIFE Saint Mary, sharing with her family the joys of picnics, beach, and playing cards. She also enjoyed reading. She will be sadly missed by all. Joan was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Semple, 3 brothers, Elwood (Bud), John and Thomas Winchester. She is survived by 4 children, Lois Maichle, Bristol, Pa., with whom she resided, Carol (Greg) Helmerson, Newark, De, David Thomas, South St. Georges, DE., and Robert (Kathy) Thomas, Wilmington, DE, 1 sister, Nancy (James) Allen, of Quarryville, Pa., 1 brother, Chandler (Peggy) Winchester of Northeast, Md., 1 sister-in-law, Mary Ann Winchester, Smyrna, De., 8 grandchidlren, Darrell, Amber, Michael, Ryan, Jeffrey, Robert, Leroy, and David, 2 great-grandchildren, Derek and Mynaiya, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and her furry little friends, "Sammy", "GW" and "KK" Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, June 2, 2011, 7-9:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011, at 11:00am in the Chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, De with a viewing from 10-11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LIFE Saint Mary, 2500 Interplex Drive, Trevose, Pa 19053.
