Francis Richard Burns
Francis Richard Burns, age 78 of Warminster, Pa., passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington. Born in Philadephia, to the late Joseph and Ellen (nee McKelvy) Burns, he has been a resident of Warminster for the past 41 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the 1st Infantry Division, "the Big Red One", during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a Mechanical Inspector for Yarway Corp., retiring after 30 years. Mr. Burns was an avid golfer, and sports fan, especially Notre Dame. He had a great passion for High School Football, especially the North Penn Knights and was a member of the A.O.H., Division 1. Bristol.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Roat) Burns, his sons, Kevin Burns and his wife, Cindy and Brian Burns and his wife, Cathy, his grandchildren, Clark White, Cathy White and Kelly White and his great-grandchildren, Joseph Schmidt and Tyler White. Mr. Burns is also survived by 1 sister, Theresa Suchy and her husband Jim, his brother-in-law, John Roat and his wife, Barbara, his sister-in-law, Anne Reinhardt and a special little girt, Autum along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 10:00am at St. Mark Church. Interment to follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday morning 8:30-9:45am at the Church. There will be no evening calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, Pa 19007. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
