August "Gus" Costantini
August "Gus" Costantini, 82, of Bristol Borough, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he has been a Bristol resident for over 55 years. Mr. Costantini was employed with Bristol Borough Public Works, in the Street Department, for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. Mr. Costantini was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Fifth Ward, Italian Mutual Aid and the NRA. He was very well loved by his family and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything in the world to him.
Mr. Costantini was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Ann M. (nee Whyno) Costantini and was the devoted father of Donna Voroscak and her husband, George. Loving grandmother of Christina Atkinson and her husband, Mike and George Voroscak and his fiancee Meghan O'Connell and great-grandmother of Nicholas, Ryan, Ashley and Austin. He is also survived by 1 brother, Anthony Costantini and his wife, Virginia, 2 sisters, Anna Starr and Sue Belardo and her husband, Sal and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Madeline Costantini, 2 brothers, John and Marty Costantini and 2 sisters, Mary Cowell and Catherine Lewis. The family would like to thank the staff in the CCU and MSIC Departments at St. Mary Medical Center for all the kindness they showed Gus and his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Tuesday evening, May 24, 2011, 8:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, private. Friends may call Tuesday, 6:00pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary Medical Center, 1201 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne, Pa 19047.
