Carl W. Nelson, Jr.
Bristol Borough Resident
Carl W. Nelson, Jr., age 87, of Bristol Boro, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. Born in Bristol, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Nelson graduated from the School of Industrial Arts in Trenton, NJ and was the owner of Carl W. Nelson, Builder in Bristol Borough for many years. He was a member of St. Mark Church, where he served as a lector, bingo worker, and on the Building and Grounds Committee. He also was a member of Seasoned Travelers, the Golden Marks, the Bristol Cultural Historical Foundation, Celtic Heritage Foundation and was active with the American Truck Historical Society.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth M. Nelson. Father of the late John J. Nelson, he is also survived by his children, Carl W. Nelson, III and his wife, Anne of Linthicum, Md., Judith A. D'Ambrosio of Bristol, Wayne H. Nelson and his wife, Jane of Levittown, James T. Nelson and his wife, Nancy of Hulmeville, and Mary E. Kuznicki and her husband, Raymond of Wrightstown, his daughter-in-law, Elaine Nelson of Bristol and his grandchildren, Keith Nelson, Stacy (Robert) Levery, Alan (Betsy) Nelson, Timothy Nelson, Jill (Jay) Darnell, Scott (Sophia) Nelson, Brian Nelson, Wendy Patchen, Gina Woolson, Tammie (Christian) Jurvic, Tina (Matthew) Freeman, Carl (Courtney) Nelson, Wayne Nelson, Christopher (Jennifer) Nelson, Jeffrey Nelson, James Nelson, Melissa (Jason) Ward, Jennifer (Patrick) Sullivan, Mark Collins, Rachael (Richard) Mason, and Katie Kuznicki, 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 1 brother, George W. Nelson, an d 3 sisters, Elna Bray, Alice Nelson and Doris Vandenburg.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, October 5, 2007, 10:00am at St. Mark Church. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening 7-9:00 and Friday morning 9-9:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Boro.
