John G. "Jack" McLaughlin
Fairless Hills Resident
John G. "Jack" McLaughlin, age 56, was called to God on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was a Fairless Hills resident for most of his life. Jack was a decorated U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and was a dedicated employee of Amtrak for over 30 years. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Div. 1, Bristol. Jack was an avid Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan since his childhood. He loved vacationing with his family in Sea Isle City, NJ, all kinds of music, and was especially devoted to his family and friends.
Jack is the beloved husband of 35 years to Marita (nee Magee) McLaughlin, and the loving father of Olivia Haney and her husband, Andrew of Bristol, Jack McLaughlin and Colleen McLaughlin, both at home. He is the dear son of Lillian McLaughlin and the devoted brother of James McLaughlin (Jeanne), Patricia Quinn (Gary), Diane Ives (Patrick), David McLaughlin (Maria) and Timothy McLaughlin (Pam). Predeceased by his father, James C. McLaughlin, Sr. , he will be sorely missed by many nieces and nephews and the Magee and Phinn families, who loved him as their own.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 9, 2007, 10:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Boro. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening 6-9:00pm and Thursday morning 9-9:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Str., Bristol Boro.
