Rose Lippincott Reeves
Longtime Bristol Boro Resident
Rose F. (nee Lippincott) Reeves, age 86, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at St. Joseph's Manor, Meadowbrook, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bristol Boro, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Reeves was a graduate of John Hallahan High School, Class of 1939, and attended their reunions until just recently. She started her career as a Rosie the Riveter, building fighter wing planes at Kaiser's in Bristol. She was also employed for 15 years at 3M Company, Bristol Township and retired after many years of service, from Lower Bucks Hospital. Mrs. Reeves was a Bristol Boro Republican Committee Woman and worked as an Inspector at the polls, for many years. She was also the first woman to run for a seat on the Bristol Boro Council. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the Seasoned Travelers, Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation and was a former den mother for The Cub Scouts, Knights of Columbus P ack #73.
Daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Lippincott and wife of the late George T. Reeves, she is survived by her 2 children, Tim G. Reeves, Sr. and his wife, Kathy of Langhorne, and Anita Eavers and her husband, Charles, Sr. of Morrisville, 6 grandchildren, Tim, Jr. (Kim), Stephen (Justine), and Christopher Reeves, Elizabeth (Mike), Chuck, Jr. and Ryan Eavers. She is also survived by 1 sister, Cecilia McPeak and her husband, Vince of Huntingdon Valley, her special niece, Lorraine Hoffman, along with many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reeves was predeceased by 4 brothers, Arthur, Joseph, Frank, and Wilson Lippincott and 4 sisters, Anna Lippincott, Harriet Luff, Marie McDermott, and Elizabeth Casmirri.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, 10:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Boro. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening 7-9:00pm and Tuesday morning 9-9:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Str., Bristol Boro.
