Joseph Patrick McInerney
Bristol Boro Resident


Joseph Patrick McInerney, age 78, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home, Philadelphia. Born November 12, 1929, in Bristol to the late Patrick and Anne (nee Meehan) McInerney, he was a lifelong Bristol Boro resident. Mr. McInerney served in the 3rd Armored Calvary and then the U.S. Navy for 4 years, during the Korean War. He retired from Central Maintenance at U.S. Steel after 32 years of service. He was very active in the Loyal Order of the Moose, for 56 years, holding all offices, including Administrator, and also held the highest order of Pilgrim. He was also a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Michael Dougherty, Div. 1 and a life member of the American Legion, Post No. 0382.


He is survived by his beloved wife, Pearl (nee Carver) McInerney, his children, Anthony Rubinski and Theresa Perez, both of Port Charlotte, Fla, 2 grandsons, Bryan and Jonathan, also of Port Charlotte. He is also survived by 3 nieces and 1 nephew, Kathleen Fecther, Maureen Kozemchak, Eileen Roberts and Patrick Hoffman. He was predeceased by his sister, Katherine Hoffman.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 1, 2008, 11:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol. Interment, private. Friends may call Friday evening 7-9:00pm and Saturday morning 9:30-10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Str., Bristol Boro.
