Margaret T. Moore
Bristol Township Resident
Margaret T. Moore, a resident of Bristol Township for 57 years, died at her home on Saturday, February 23, 2008. The daughter of the late Margaret (nee Hooper) and Edward L. Tracey, she was born and raised in Morrisville, Pa. She graduated from Morrisville High School in 1943 and remained in close touch with several of her friends from that class. She did volunteer work with the American Red Cross during and after World War II while raising her family. Later she worked for the State of New Jersey’s Department of Corrections in the hospital at Trenton State Prison, a job she thoroughly enjoyed and held until she retired in 1993. She was a member of St. Mark Church, and was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court No. 1097, for almost 70 years. She spent her retirement involved in her church and pursuing her favorite recreational activity, knitting. Her specialties were the small caps that she knitted for premature infants and donated to St. Mary’s Medical Cent er in Langhorne (of which she did more than a thousand) and large shawls that she did for breast cancer patients.
She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Moore and his wife, Cathie of Novi, MI, Alan Moore and his wife, Debbie of Morristown, NJ and Paul Moore of Bristol, her grandchildren, Gregory Moore of Richland, WA, Jeffrey Moore and his wife, Keri of Everett, WA and Michael and Matthew Moore of Morristown, NJ and her great-grand-daughter, Elizabeth of Richland, WA. She is also survived by her twin sister, Helen Philp of Morrestown, NJ. She was the much loved wife of her beloved husband G. Stanley Moore for almost 60 years until his passing in 2005. She will be greatly missed by those whom she touched and her numerous acts of kindness will never be forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, February 29, 2008, 10:30 am at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Bristol. Interment, private. Friends may call Thursday evening 7-9:00pm and Friday morning 9:30-10:15am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Str., Bristol Boro.
