Stella Irene Lipiarski

Stella Irene (nee Bombas) Lipiarski, age 99, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 assisted by Life Choice Hospice Care and the staff at the Oakwood Residence in Philadelphia.  Born in Philadelphia, the family moved to Croydon in 1941.  Stella was a homemaker and renowned for her baking and craft skills.  She was a charter member and officer in the St. Thomas Ladies Guild.  Stella loved music and studied and played the organ at home; her interest in politics and news events kept her mind active and she voted in every election until the very end.

Daughter of the late Josef and Olga (nee Halada) Bombas, and widow of the late Paul Lipiarski, Sr., she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph and beloved grand-daughter, Carol Lipiarski.  Stella is survived by her son, Paul, Jr. (Marianne) of Marlton, NJ, grand-daughters, Eileen Olah of New Egypt, NJ, Barbara Gilmer (John) of Wrightstown, NJ and grandsons, Paul (Shirley) of Hemet, CA and Joseph (Justine) of Glenn Mills, Pa, her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica and Melissa Newman, Heather, Eric, Nathan and Alden Lipiarski, Cody Gilmer and her great-great-grandchildren, Sonny Olah and Gianna Iavarone.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews of the Lipiarski and McCarter families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 6, 2010, 11:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, Pa  19021.    Interment, private.  Friends may call Saturday morning 8:30-10:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Boro.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, at the above address.
