Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Lancieri

"Pots N Pans"

Anthony "Tony" Lancieri passed away on January 31, 2010 at the age of 60 after a valiant and heroic battle with cancer.  Tony was born and raised in Bristol Boro, having attended St. Ann School and graduating from Bishop Egan High School, Class of 1967.  He was born into the construction business and was known for his creativity and master skills in all aspects of construction and remodeling.  He was the owner of EDC Construction in Southern New Jersey for many years.  After meeting Vivian, lovingly known as "Scooter", the love of his life, Tony relocated to the Hulmeville area where he and Scooter restructured the Old Colonial Hotel from a fine dining restaurant to the finest Karaoke bar in the area.  Tony, a natural at anything he did, became "Pots N Pans" and breathed new life into the hotel with Scooter at his side.  He was proud to have a regular customer compete and win a national Karaoke contest.  He packed the bar, and could bang out songs from Sinatra to Creedence, with the Golden Oldies always being his favorite.  He had a knack for getting even the most timid customer to sing their first Karaoke song.  After the sale of the Colonial, Tony, Scooter and their beloved pet, Cuervo relocated  to Tioga County where they spent the days with Tony hunting and their nights at the campfire together.  Missing his golf game after a few years, they returned to Bucks County and started TVL Inc., returning to the construction/remodeling business.  Tony was also a golf "Pro" ususally finding him on the course playing 18-36 holes a day each weekend, Spring through Fall, with his buddies in Springfled, NJ.  Tony was proud to have made 4 hole in ones, during his golfing career.  Myrtle Beach was a favorite vacation spot with the guys.  He returned annually to Tioga for hunting season and treasured every moment he spent on the mountain.    When at home, rain or shine or snow, Tony and Scooter would spend their evenings out by the fire, chatting with the Oldies playing in the background, in the coziness of the back yard getaway.    Tony loved life to the fullest, even after receiving his diagnosis.  He never stopped working through his many chemo periods.  The strength, courage and battles he won during this fight stands to the character of the man.  He defied every odd and was and will always be an inspiration to those closest to him.

Tony was welcomed on his new journey by those he loved that went before him, his parents, Angelina and Otto "Okie" Lancieri, his daughters, Rachelle (Shelly) Lancieri-Hoover and Jennifer "Gigi" Young, his grand-daughter, Chelsea Lancieri and his beloved pets, Cuervo and Sammy Bear.  Leaving behind with heavy hearts to bear this loss forever are his wife, Vivian "Scooter" Young-Lancieri, his sons, Anthony Jr. and his wife, Angelique of Southampton, and William "Billy" Young and his wife, Margaret of Langhorne, his sister, Phyllis Haggenbottom of Levittown, his brother, Dan Lancieri and his wife, Vicki Lyn of Levittown and his grandchildren, Billy "Bubbles" Young, Ashley Young-Muldowney, Nicole and Francesca Lancieri and Ricky Hoover, his nieces, Samantha, Margaret, Angela and Maria Sanders and his nephews, Dan and Robert Lancieri.  He is also mourned by many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 4, 2010, 10:00am at St. Ann Church, Bristol Boro.  Interment, private.  Friends may call Wednesday evening 7-9:00pm and Thursday morning 8:30-9:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Boro.
